Learnt Night Waking-up and separation anxiety

Babies have to learn to sleep alone, by themselves. This is a normal part of their growth and will generate in them self independence.
Your baby learnt to wake up every 3 hours because you taught this. He does not know what is right, or what is wrong, he only learns from you, and that is for him what is correct. If he goes to sleep with your presence (Sometimes mothers even go to sleep with their babies inside the craddle!) for him, this is correct, and every time he wakes up in the night, he will wait for this same “correct” response from you.
I know what you are thinking: “How do I do this?”
Because he only falls asleep holding our hand or touching us.
If you keep on sleeping him holding his hand, he will ask for this even beyond his 4 years, and I can tell you this situation is not comfortable at all.
